Latrice Leggs is a passionate educator with a deep commitment to nurturing young minds and unlocking the potential of every child. As an Early Childhood Teacher of the Gifted at Downtown Elementary School in Memphis, TN, Latrice combines expertise and empathy to empower students to become thinkers, dreamers, and doers.

A proud alumna of the University of Memphis, Latrice earned both her Bachelor’s Degree in Education and her Master’s Degree in Early Childhood Education. She also holds a State of Tennessee Teaching License, reflecting her dedication to academic excellence.

Latrice’s professional journey includes providing in-home early childhood intervention services for children from birth to three years old who were developmentally delayed or at risk. Her work as a licensed Pre-K teacher for a non-profit Head Start program further highlights her passion for equitable education and advocacy for underserved families.

Her belief in the transformative power of education drives her to create inclusive learning environments where students are inspired to grow and thrive. As an Advisory Board Member of the Beyond Educating Foundation, Latrice brings valuable experience, compassionate leadership, and a forward-thinking mindset to support the organization’s mission of empowering youth and building stronger communities.
