As a Champion for Children, Change Agent, and Creative, Mary Williamson grew up in Memphis, TN as the youngest and only girl of 5. As a 90s kid, she enjoyed playing with dolls and playing in mud! She attended the University of Tennessee at Martin where she received both her Masters of Science degree in Family and Consumer Sciences: Child and Family Studies (2006) & Bachelors of Art degree in Psychology (2005).
Her career as an Early Childhood Champion began with her love for babysitting as a teenager which led her to work for TN State University’s Early Head start Program, Metro Nashville Head start, Vanderbilt University’s Child & Family Center, and currently Childcare Resource Referral. Mary wholeheartedly believes in the importance of strengthening families and communities to mitigate ACEs and continues to educate others through her work as a facilitator. |
